Zargar inspects development works at Kulgam
Rs.1.50 crore being spent for road, announces ,Rs.2 lakh for protection bund at Khalaroo

Srinagar, November 02 – Minister for Agriculture, Sericulture, Cooperatives and Fisheries, Mr. Abdul Aziz Zargar today conducted extensive tour of far flung areas of Kulgam and took stock of several on-going development works in the kandi belt. The villages include Malwan, Gasrenoo, Akhal, Lamar, Pahloo and Dardgund.
The Minister inspected under construction Primary School, Middle school, link roads, Primary health centre and protection works in these villages.
The Minister was informed that Rs.75 lakh are being spent on construction of Primary and middle Schools at Malwan under Sarwa Siksha Abhiyan scheme. Link road from Spout to Gujjar Basti at Akhal at a cost of Rs.1.50 crore is also under execution.
Addressing a large gathering on the occasion, the Minister announced that at Lamar, one Primary Health Centre would be established to provide health facilities to the inhabitants of the area. He said, High School of Brinal would be upgraded to higher Secondary level. The minister announced release of Rs.2 lakh under CDF for construction of protection bund at Khalaroo. He also informed that a separate Circle for block Pahloo has been sanctioned for providing essential commodities to the villagers at their doorstep adding the center would cater to ration needs of 37 villages. The circle would facilitate 37 villages of the area.
The Minister was accompanied senior civil and police officers and senior PDP leaders which include Zonal President, PDP, Mr. Abdul Razaq.
