Youth throw chilli powder in woman's eyes, rob her | | | early times report JAMMU, Nov 1: Two motorcycle-borne youth today threw chilli powder in the eyes of a woman at Bishnah here and robbed her of cash and gold jewellery worth Rs 2 lakh. Lalisho Devi of ward No 11, Bishnah, was on her way home after buying some gold ornaments from a local goldsmith when two youth on a motorcycle appeared on the scene and threw chilli powder in her eyes. They snatched her gold chain, a locket, two bangles and a purse containing a ring and Rs 3,000 in cash, police sources said. Though the woman cried for help, the accused the fled the spot. She was later evacuated to hospital by locals. Police had registered a case in this connection. In another incident, some unknown youth intercepted Sonia Verma, wife of Ravinder Kumar of Rajpura Magotrian, in the locality and snatched her gold chain. A case in this connection stands registered at the concerned police station. |
