Two burglars held with stolen items | | | JAMMU: Police today apprehended two burglars from Bhaderwah and recovered from their possession the items they had stolen from different parts of Doda district. The recovered items were valued at over Rs 6 lakh, police sources said. The arrested burglars were identified as Tanveer Ahmed Zarar alias Rinku, son of Mohammad Shafi of Haveli Mohalla, Bhaderwah, and Shoukat Ali alias Zarul, son of Gulam Rasool of Qila Mohalla, Bhaderwah. The items recovered from them included gold ornaments, costly garments, one mobike, cameras and mobile phones, the sources added.Police had registered cases against them under sections 457 and 280 of CrPC. Addressing media persons at Bhaderwah, SSP, Doda, Parbhat Singh said the accused were active in and around Bhaderwah for the past few months and had committed several burglaries.He said a special team, led by additional SP T R Katoch, had arrested the accused. Other team members were DSP Abdul Quyoom and SHO, Bhaderwah police station, T R Bhardwaj, he added.The SSP said efforts were on to apprehend the burglars who last week had stolen three .315 rifles and ammunition from a gun shop at Bhaderwah.
