KP youth peeved over delay in issuing appointment orders, suspect foul play | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 2: Jammu and Kashmir Finance Ministry is seemingly in no mood to follow directions of Minister for Revenue Raman Bhalla as far as issuance of appointment orders to Kashmiri migrant youth selected for government jobs by Jammu and Kashmir Services selection Board (JKSSB) is concerned. Bhalla had stated that all those selected by SSB would receive appointment orders within 10 days of the opening of Durbar in Jammu. However, youth All India Kashmiri Samaj has expressed deep concern over latest circular issued by finance department in which it has been stated that those selected by Services selection Board would be further subjected to scrutiny by the government. Samaj leaders and those belonging to other organisations of displaced people feel peeved over the way the government has, for the first time, decided not to accept list of selected candidates by board as final. They said that this way the very constitutional right of the Board has been questioned. When contacted, Bhalla said that he would look into the matter because he had issued instructions to several departmental heads to issue appointment order in favour of candidates selected by the board within 10 days of the opening of the Durbar in Jammu. Bhalla said that he had also instructed the heads of departments and commissioners to post the selected youth, belonging to the Kashmiri displaced families, at the district and Tehsil headquarters and avoid posting them in far-flung areas. Bhalla also disclosed that he had visited boarding arrangements made at various places in the valley for these youth. In the meantime, leaders belonging to various oganisations of displaced people have appealed Chief Minister and Revenue Minister to intervene and foil mischief of the finance department.
