| Director DDE JU visits GDC Poonch | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , Nov 2: The Directorate of Distance Education, University of Jammu has initiated a drive to strengthen academic and administrative support services of the Study Centers of the directorate.. An attempt is being made by the directorate to build and enhance the infrastructure and support services in its study centers.
In this connection, the Director, DDE is visiting the various study centers to get first hand information about the functioning of the study centers. The Director visited the study centre of DDE at Govt, Degree College, Poonch the other day and interacted with Prof. G.L.Sharma, Principal of the College , Prof. Tejinder Singh, Coordinator and other faculty members and administrative staff of the college to discuss various possibilities of improving the functioning of the study centre and handed over Computer system alongwith Printer and U.P.S to the Principal and Coordinator of the College.
As a part of the drive to strengthen all the study centers of DDE, the study centers are being provided with Computers in order to use information and communication technology ( ICT) in admission process and record keeping of the study centers of the DDE. Capacity building of the study centers of the directorate shall go a long way in bridging the gap between the students of these far flung areas and the directorate.
