| District level Science exhibition concludes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Nov 2: A two-day long District Level Science Exhibition organized by DIET, Kud in the premises of Boys HSS Udhampur concluded today.
The Science Model “Zero Energy Cool Chamber” prepared by students of Government Middle School Jib, was adjudged as best in Elementary level contest while Science Exhibit “Water Shed” of Government Middle School for Boys, Jaganoo bagged second prize.
Government Central Middle School, Udhampur and Govt. Girls Middle School, Shakti Nagar jointly shared third prize.
In Secondary level contest, the science model titled “Green Energy” of Govt. High School, Dhandal clinched first position while GHS Jib and GHS Barta bagged second and third positions respectively.
Similarly under Higher Secondary level, the model titled “ Production of Energy from Ocean Currents” presented by Govt. Higher Secondary School for Boys, Udhampur got first position while GHSS, Ramnagar and Maharaja Hari Singh DAV, Udhampur remained second and third respectively.
Director, School Education, Jammu, Zahida Khan was the chief guest on the valedictory function while Director SSA, Vinay Mohan Raina presided over the occasion. Congratulating the Principal and faculty of DIET, Kud (Udhampur) for organizing this Science Exhibition aimed at to induce scientific temperament among students, the Director School Education said that such events are imperative for the young students to think on the different scientific fields for making new stride in the field of science and technology for the sustainable development.
She appreciated the sincere and innovative efforts of the participated institutions in making District Level Science Exhibition a standardized affair.The chief guest said that the teachers have to share major responsibility in providing quality education to their students to shape their personality and make them enable to face the emerging challenges of the fast changing world of competition.
