| Legal awareness campaign organized at Thathri | | |

DODA, Nov 2: To create awareness among people about legal aid under Legal Services Authority Act, Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Thathri, organized a Legal Awareness Campaign under the chairmanship of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Thathri, Arvind Sharma, here today. Tehsildar, Station House Officer (SHO), Naib Tehsildar, President Bar Association, Thathri, Secretary Bar Association besides a huge gathering attended the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Sharma said that the main aim of organizing such legal campaigns is to create awareness among the poor people of the region about various legal aspects of the judiciary system.
He said that Legal Services Authority / Committees have been constituted for providing free legal aid in the nature of counseling and providing free legal services in the conduct of any case or other legal proceedings before court / tribunal / authority.
Sharma further said that Lok Adalats are being organized by the LSC /LSA for the settlement of pending cases / disputes which have not been brought before the court thereby avoiding costs, delays and ensuring speedy justice and overcoming the legal technicalities.
He also said that Government is intending to settle all the pending cases / disputes through LSC / LSA for the benefit of the poor and needy people.
