Jammu , Nov 2: All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation today organized a press conference at Geeta Bhawan, Jammu under the chairmanship of Bhushan S Verma, State President and Maheshwar Parsad, State Convener.
Addressing the media, they said that the coalition government has intentionally tried to play with the sentiments of the employees by presenting road map for 6th pay Commission arrears which was not acceptable to them.
They, meanwhile, appealed to the employees not to fell prey to the bureaucrats and J&K Govt. who are responsible for such attitude of the government towards employees.
They urged the government release the arrears of pay commission in cash in equal three installments to In service employees and to pensioners in one installment and also retirement benefits to all retired employees between Jan 2009 to May 2009.
They also demanded Enhancement of honorarium of E.G.S and R.E.T's and inclusion of their whole service for promotion benefits and their transfer policy and D.P.C from teachers to masters may be done after training all the graduate/ post graduate teachers according to cut dates of all categories. In DPC about 900 to 1000 teachers going to be promoted which will effect the education of 500 schools at least in the peak session of education and give bad effect to the results. Other demands included all deployed teachers/masters kept at their place of deployment till the academic session., qualifying service i.e. 28 yrs may be treated from Jan 2006, regularization of all I/C officers.
Those who addressed the press conference are Parshotam Sharma, Prem Sharma, Prem Singh, Ravinder Verma, Salim Ahmed, Nabab Din, Ravi Kath, Dharam Pal Sharma, BalbiI' Kumar, Rajesh Sharma, Hakiqat Singh, Pawan Kumar, Ranbir Singh, Manjeet Singh, Ram Pal Sharstri, Harbajan Singh, Pardeep Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Mohan Singh, Ishwar Dass, Rajesh Anand.
