JGEF opposes govt move on pay commission | | | Early Times Report Jammu , Nov 2: The Joint Government Employees Federation held a meeting under the chairmanship of its state president Sawtanter Bakshi here, today. The leaders of the federation condemned the state coalition government and reject its move on the payment of pending arrears of 6th Pay Commission w.e.f. January 1, 2006. Addressing the meeting, Sawtanter Bakshi, State President of Federation while rejecting the road map has expressed resentment over the announcement of Pay commission and termed it as mockery of the system. He said that the employees as well as pensioners were waiting eagerly for 6th pay commission pending arrears since 2006 and urged the Govt to review its decision He alleged that the government has forgotten its agreement made with the employees. He said that the salaries of their ministers, MLA’s were enhanced recently but it ignored the employees as well as pensioners. Bakshi also warned the state Govt. to review its decision and pay the arrears in one or two installment as cash payment in favour of the employees and pensioners otherwise there will be left no alternative except to resort agitation. Among others who participated are Subash Baru, Chief Organiser, Sandesh Sharma, Organiser, Surinder Mohan Sharma, Tirth Ram Gupta, Shello Ram Kundal, Kuldeep Kumar Dubey, Bishan Dass Ahmed Ding Mailk, Chaman Lal, Shadi lal Koul, Bharat Bushan Gupta, Sain Dass Ranbir Singh, Raj Kumar Gupta, Altaf Hussain, Raj Kumar Goal, Suresh Bakshi, Ajit Singh Jamwal Kavi, and Girdhari lal.
