| Colleges Non-teaching Employees observe strike | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | JULY 27 All the non- teaching employees, who are working in the colleges of the J&K state observed mass casual leave today. The striking employees assembled at GGM Science College, Jammu and held a massive demonstration in support of their long pending demands. Working in the colleges remained paralyzed for the entire day throughout the state. They were protesting against the non-implementation of the agreement reached between Higher Education authorities and the office bearers of the association with regard to implementation of UGC Grades and other demands. The protesting employees expressed their anguish and shouted slogans against the anti employees attitude of the Higher Education Department, for not conceding the just and genuine demands of the non teaching employees which are lying pending since long. As per the programme, all the protesting employees assembled in their respective colleges, throughout the state and held rallies and demonstration. Addressing the rally, Ram Kumar Sharma State Chairman, JKNTEA strongly condemned the anti-employees attitude of the Higher Education authorities for the last more than one decade. He alleged that authorities have turned a deaf ear towards the employees’ problems and made false promises from time to time and provoked the employees to come on the streets. Due to the unjust behavior of the authorities, the employees are being forced to resort the mass casual leave on today.
