| BJP meets to discuss Nov 8 bandh call | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 3: To gear up the party cadre at different levels for making the scheduled November 8 Jammu Bandh successful, a high level meeting of BJP senior leaders, State and Morcha Presidents, MLAs and District Presidents was held today at party headquarters.
It was chaired by State President Shamsher Singh Manhas alongwith Leader of Legislators Party Prof Chaman Lal Gupta, Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria and Distt. President Rajesh Gupta.
Threadbare discussions were held in the meeting and suggestions sought from those present in the meeting to ensure that the bandh is peaceful but complete.
Shamsher Singh Manhas, while addressing the meeting, said that the way the State Chief Minister has been behaving and his highly disturbing and unpatriotic statements during the last two months are an indication that the Congress-led UPA was backing him totto. Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta and Ashok Khajuria, while addressing the meeting, said that a strong message must go to Omar Abdullah and others of his ilk that in the State voice of nationalists is decisively strong and united, which can not be suppressed by state apparatus or a handful of separatists and anti-nationalist elements.
Suresh Jamwal, Satish Sharma, Sat Sharma, Kavinder Gupta, Harinder Gupta, Yudhvir Sethi, Ramesh Arora, Dr. Nirmal Kamal, Lalit Moza, Yudhvir Sethi, Shilpi Verma, Bansi Lal Bharti and others attended this meeting.
