| Cong leader grieves over loss of lives in Doda mishap | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 3: SENIOR Congress leader and MLA from Doda constituency Abdul Majid Wani today expressed anguish over the loss of human lives in tragic bus accident today near Prem Nagar, Doda. The video coach deluxe F2000 bus from Jammu to Kishtwar was, reportedly, overloaded and was being driven rashly right from Batote. The ill fated bus plunged 400 ft. down into the Chenab River.
Wani, however, lauded the cooperation provided by people of Prem Nagar, who under the leadership of Sanjay Sharma, President, Youth Congress, Block Gundna reached the spot of accident immediately and rescued a number of precious lives.
Demanding for ex-gratia and compensation to the family members of those killed and injured, MLA Doda has also demanded free of cost medical treatment to all those injured. and also demanded time bound high level enquiry. MLA Doda sought for immediate suspension of the responsible MVD & Traffic Police officers on route.
