PoK traders extend Deepawali greetings to Poonch counterparts | LoC trade holiday this week | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, Nov 3: Following busy schedule of the traders in Deepawali festival, Cross Line of Control Trade between Poonch and Rawalkote remained off this week and traders seemed enjoying trade holiday. As per reports, no trade took place on Poonch Rawalkote road in this week as traders had already taken a decision to suspend the same due to festival season. The traders in this regard had communicated to their counterparts in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir who had also suspended the export to this side. When contacted, President of Cross LoC Traders Association Poonch Pawan Ananad said that no trade took place this Tuesday and Wednesday because all traders were busy in the arrangements of Deepawali. "We had already decided to suspend this week trade and we are going to resume next week", he said adding that maximum of traders are outside Poonch area and they have left the station to celebrate Deepawali with the families. "We are celebrating this week as trade holiday due to festival season", he added. Pawan Anand said that they had also communicated Custodian of the trade regarding trade holiday. Meanwhile Traders of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir have extended their warm wishes to their Poonch counterparts on the occasion of Depawalai. President of the Association said that they have received greetings from PoK on Deepawali. "We are highly thankful to our counterparts for greeting us on Deepawali", he added. |
