| Major road accidents: Chronology | | | Following is the chronology of major road accidents in the hilly Doda, Kishtwar, Reasi, Ramban and Udhampur districts since 2006:
lOn April 7, 2006, 50 people were killed after a bus had fallen into Chenab river near Kishtwar.
lOn April 17, 2007, a tipper fell into a gorge in Reasi, resulting in the death of six persons.
lOn April 13, a minibus fell into a gorge near Mahore in Reasi as a result of which four persons lost their lives.
lOn February 12, six people were killed after a Tata Sumo had fallen into a gorge near Chenani, Udhampur.
lOn May 7, bus fell from a bridge in Kishtwar, resulting in the death of 40 people.
lOn August 23, an army vehicle met with an accident near Doda as a result of which a Major and four others were killed.
lOn August 15, a truck fell into a gorge at Battry Chashma; 10 killed.
lOn July 24, 16 killed after a bus fell into a nullah at Ramban.
lOn September 4, a minibus fell into a gorge at Drabshalla in Doda: 23 killed.
lOn September 29, seven killed at Bhaderwah in a bus accident.
lOn November 12, seven killed in a minibus accident at Doda.
lOn February 25, 35 killed in a bus accident at Doda.
lOn February 26 this year, 35 killed after a bus fell into Chenab.
lOn June 7, 2009, 26 killed in a bus accident at Doda.
lOn May 13, 30 killed in another bus accident at Kishtwar.
lOn July 23, 2010, a minibus fell into Chenab, resulting in the death of 25 people.
lOn September 7, 2009, 25 killed in another Doda accident.
lOn January 15, 2010, 35 killed in minibus accident at Doda.
lOn February 25, 2009, 38 killed in a Doda road accident. |
