| 2 qtl poor-quality sweets destroyed at Bishnah | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 4: On the eve of Deepawali, two quintals of poor-quality sweets were destroyed by the authorities in Bishnah today.
Official sources said a team led by DHO Danish Jain carried out surprise checking of sweets at several shops here and destroyed two quintals of sub-standard sweets.
A fine of Rs 11,000 was also realised from the defaulters, the sources added.
Such surprise checks on sweet shops were also likely to be carried out in the winter capital city here. |
