| Adbi Kunj organizes literary meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | JULY 27 A literary and poetic meet of Adbi Kunj presided by a well known poet Trilok Sharma here the other day. The General Secretary of Himalayan Heritage Museum, Thakur Krishan Singh was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion , President Adbi Kunj, Sham Talib who is the force behind organizing the Adbi Kunj weekly literary meet for the last 33yrs appealed the members of the Kunj attend the weekly meet regularly. Before start of meeting participants adopted a condolence resolution expressing grief over the demise of Ghanshyam Pandit, Senior such-editor of Punjab Kesari recently. In the literary meet Manzoor Ahmed Badhana of ram Nagar, Udhampur read out his short story “ Amiron Ki Duniya”, which reflected the struggle between capitalists and proletariat. Trilok Sharma presented an patriotic song. Talib Kashmiri recited a Kashmiri poem; other poets also recited their ‘Kalam’ in Hindi, Punjabi Dogri and Gojri on the occasion . In another function Adbi Kunj members paid tributes to late, Noor-ul- Zaman Siddique ‘ Noor’, on his 5th death anniversary, which was presided over by Abdul Latif Malik. While paying tributes to Late, ‘Noor’, Sham Talib revealed that he along with his family migrated to Jammu from O.P . He was deeply associated with Adbi- Kunj.. In the meeting a condolence resolution was passed over the demise of eminent Pakistani Urdu Poet and Writer Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi and desirable a great loss to Urdu literature the serial bomb blast in Srinagar and Mumbai.
