| SVO unearths disproportionate assets case against GM (Testing) SICOP | | | Srinagar, November 2: The State Vigilance Organisation has located assets of General Manager SICOP valuing crores of rupees disproportionate to his known sources of income. Talking to media, SSP Vigilance Bashir Ahmed Malla said that following complaints about the possession of immovable property costing crores of rupees by General Manager (Testing) SICOP Mushtaq Ahmed Khan in Hyderpora area in the outskirts of Srinagar, the State Vigilance Organisation during the course of investigation located immovable assets of the said General Manager valuing crores of rupees disproportionate to his known sources of income. A team of Vigilance led by Bashir Ahmed Malla raided the Hyderpora residence of Mushtaq Ahmed Khan and the houses of his friends at Balgarden, Jeelanabad and Hyderpora. The vigilance team recovered insurance policies against which premium of Rs 4 lakhs is being paid annually from the residence of the said General Manager and came to know about his eight bank accounts against which the officer has credited huge amounts under fixed deposit schemes. The wood carving of two doors and walls of his house is not costing less than Rs1 crore and the main gate of his house is being operated on remote control. Recovery of some incriminating documents and cash certificates is also being claimed by the State Vigilance Organisation. A case under FIR No:46/06 has been registered against the said General Manager at P/S State Vigilance Organisation Srinagar. The arrests, according to Vigilance authorities, will be made after proper investigation. |
