| Samooh Theatre to hold ‘Play Reading’ today | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 6: Samooh Theatre is organising a ‘Play Reading’ of Rajneesh Gupta’s newly written Hindi play “Varnshanker” tomorrow at K L Sehgal Hall cultural academy complex.
As per the press statement, the prominent theatre artists, writers, critics, intellectuals and member of the civil society have been invited to attend. Besides, a discussion on the play will also be held after its reading.
The play will be read by the noted and versatile artists from the theatre included Santosh Sangra, Rajesh Raina, Ravinder Sharma, Suresh Sharma, Avineesh Sharma and Inderjeet Singh Sambyal.
Dr. Sudhir Mahajan will hold the proceeding of the function.
The play “Varnshanker” is about the exploitation and oppression of the slaves of Mahabharta times. Drutrashtra, Gandhari, Yutusu are the main character of the play on which the story revolves.
