Unhappy PCC leadership to approach New Delhi | Chinks in NC-Cong coalition | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 6: Taking strong note of recent statement of former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah in which he stated that conspiracies were being hatched against National Conference, Congress leadership of Jammu and Kashmir has decided to take up the issue with high command in New Delhi. Seeking anonymity, Jammu based several congress leaders have asked Dr.Farooq Abdullah to identify forces conspiring against his party. They have said that the fears expressed by Farooq Abdullah are "imaginary" and essentially cover up of the failure of the government headed by Omar Abdullah. They said that despite feeling suffocated, state unit of Congress is feeling suffocated due to lack of coordination encouraged by Omar Abdullah, we are not in favour of destabilizing ruling coalition government. They disclosed that senior party leaders have already discussed the issue with Congress high command but we have been told not to precipitate the matter till US President Barack Obama completes his tour of India. Congress leaders stated that rank and file of Congress had been highly dissatisfied with the functioning of the Omar led government. Another senior leader said that if the Congress high command does not tame Omar, party would suffer further erosion in the Jammu region. “We are not opposed to Omar or any other individual in National Conference. We are against the style of functioning of Chief Minister who seems to trust his advisers more than Congress ministers and legislators,” they said. Congress leaders added that even the PCC Chief Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz was being ignored while the Chief Minister took various decisions or framed some policies. These congress leaders have cautioned the party high command against supporting Omar beyond certain proportion. They stated that soon after Obama's visit, senior Congress leaders from Jammu and Kashmir will visit Delhi for appraising party high command about all practical, political and organizational difficulties being faced by state unit of Congress in Jammu and Kashmir.
