BANIHAL, Nov 6: National Conference has alleged massive discrepancies and sought re-demarcation of Panchayats and ward constituencies as per actual habitation of wards.
Addressing workers convention in Tourist Reception Center (TRC) Banihal, National Conference (NC) leader Sajjad Shaheen said that government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is committed to hold Panchayat election in the state as early as possible. He appealed party workers to gear up for Panchayat elections and elect hardworking persons as Sarpanches and Panches.
He urged workers to work sincerely and take programmes of the party to every household to strengthen party at grassroot level and ensure public participation in the developmental programmes being executed in their respective areas to mitigate problems of people so that balanced development process initiated by government can reach out to every corner of state especially remote areas of Tehsil Banihal.
Appreciating Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his truthful and principle based Politics; Shaheen said that young Chief Minister is not only committed to the equal development of all the regions of the state but is also committed to the permanent political resolution of the Kashmir issue. He said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s recent announcement to provide employment to educated unemployed youth of the state.
