| Mehbooba vows to fight for peaceful solution of K-issue | | | Srinagar, November 2: PDP President Mehbooba Mufti here on Thursday vowed to push , with full vigour and sincerity, its agenda for peaceful, dignified and realistic solution of Kashmir problem.
Addressing a day long party convention at Shalteng in the outskirts of Srinagar, Mehbooba while refuting the charges of National Conference leaders said PDP does not carry forward any agenda of New Delhi or Islamabad. Acknowledging the generous financial assistance extended by the Central Government for rebuilding infrastructure to rejuvenate troubled state's sluggish economy, she underscored the need for a joint, concerted and comprehensive effort for making Jammu, Kashmir and Ladhak divisions politically stable and economically strong to integrate them with the developing global market economy.
Highlighting the broader contours of her party's self rule formula, Mehbooba termed the proposal as most viable solution of Kashmir issue which , according to her, will take the sinking boat of Kashmir to safe shore. She hoped that formula, if implemented, will bring to end the miseries of the people of the state and extend them the opportunity to live a dignified life. |
