Several youth join congress

VIJAYPUR, Oct 7: Congress today received a shot in the arm when workers of several political parties joined it in a function held here today.
In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that a public meeting of Congress-I was held in the village Rakh-Jhang of Vijaypur Constituency wherein senior congress leader and former minister Manjit Singh was the chief guest. A large number of youth of Jhang village, under the banner of Youth Club Jhang, joined Congress and expressed their full faith in the leadership of Manjit Singh.
President of Youth Cub Ravi Kumar alongwith 150 members joined Congress. Singh garlanded these workers. Nitu Kumar, Farooq Khan, Chander Sharma, Raju Kumar, Shammi Kumar, Shamsher Singh, Roop Singh and Krishan Singh also joined congress. Speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh welcomed the youth in Congress and asked them to strengthen the party. He said that congress is a secular party and has done a lot for down trodden and deprived sections of the society.
