Stany takes lead over IMs after round 5 | XXI National under-17 Chess Tournament | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, November 07: Upcoming Karnataka boy, Stany GA (2329) went ahead of the three International Masters (IMs) after found six in the ongoing XXI National under-17 Chess Tournament at Heritage School in the outskirts of the city, here today. Two other IMs, Debashis Dass of Orissa and Narayanan Srinath (2350) of Tamil Nadu were closely following Stany with five points each. From host J&K, Rajat Bhardwaj was leading with 3.5 points whereas eight others Abhay Sudan, Danish Pathania, Pranav Sharma, Suhas Dhar, Aadit Samnotra, Navyug Sethi and Maanik have secured three points each out of six round of the competition. Meanwhile, in girls section, A Akshaya of Tamil Nadu was leading with 5.5 points. Sonakshi Rathore of Rajasthan and Sarana J of Tamil Nadu were closly following the leader at five points each. From host J&K, Akanksha Koul has secured three points while young six-year old, Arushi Kotwal also gained two points. The competition is being held under the overall guidance of Chief Arbiter, Dharminder Kumar. He is assisted by three other Arbiters, Prem Pandit (Mumbai) Mehmood (MP) and Moorthy Tamil Nadu.
