Natrang’s ‘Theatre for Peace’ reaches Rajouri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Rajouri, November 7: Natrang is traveling with its shows to Rajouri and Poonch districts. After putting up a successful show of the play ‘Choona Hai Aasmaan’ at Nowshera yesterday, the group performed here today at the Dak Banglow Ground where large number of audiences from all over Rajouri town watched the play. SDS Jamwal, DIG Rajouri Poonch range was the chief guest on the occasion. Written and directed by Balwant Thakur, the play aims at spreading a message of peace, communal harmony, brotherhood, and eradication of social evils. The play opened with a chorus performance where they are drawing the comparison between the developed world and the backward areas and try to find out the reasons of the backwardness and under development. Unfolding various situations, the play showcases the present scenario of the state where people are shown having indulged in petty issues, thus ruining the career and prospects of the younger generations. Here a youth is shown striving to achieve the best in life, but finds that man made hazards comes in his way which not only frustrates but also put him to a situation of dejection and depression. A strong message of brotherhood, communal harmony and peace has been incorporated in such an artistic manner that it forces the audiences to realize the realities of this bitter truth. The artists who performed included Dimple Sharma, Pankush Verma, Mohit Sharma, Rohit Verma, Tajasvi Sharma, Rajani Bhatti, Mohd. Yaseen, Vikram Sharma, Vasu Gupta, Kuldeep Mehra, and Ishfaq Anwar. Ashish Nijhawan an alumni of National School of Drama, New Delhi was the artistic presenter of the show . The show in Rajouri was coordinated by Maneesh Malhotra and in Nowshrea was coordinated by Imtyaz. The play was assisted by Neeraj Kant and Sumeet Sharma was the Incharge Public Relations.
