| SDH Akhnoor observes World Cancer Day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Akhnoor, Nov 8: SDH Akhnoor today observed World Cancer Day.The day was marked by the presence of locals and hospital staff under the supervision of Block Medical Officer Dr. Narinder S. Bhatial.
The awareness was disseminated to the attending members by Dr. Vinod Sharma from Govt.Medical College, Jammu, while Pap Smear Samples were collected under the supervision of Dr. Renu Gupta and Dr. Neeru Verma.
These samples will be tested by Dr. Surinder Sharma, Pathologist and this facility would carry on in future also. The information regarding newly invented vaccine for CA Cervix and the general preventive measures to prevent cancers were also discussed.
