JKNPP slams govt., puts up demands

After completing his tour of Darhal- Budhal constituency, President young Panthers, Mohd. Farooq addressed a press- conference here at Party Headquarters along with Anita Thakur, President , Women Wing, JKNPP highlighted the problems of the area.
Among many problems he highlighted Chief one was that of shifting of Tehsils HQs. Complaining that Tehsils HQs had been based at Budhal since 1965 was shifted to Koternaka during NC government few years back, Budhal compri of eight patwas is bigger than Darhal having been given Tehsil status and yet only four patwars. Thus there is great resentment and anguish among the people due to NC govt’s. favouritism, as it has become a big hurdle in the progress of area. In case the govt. does not concede to over demand we shall be forced to launch all lawful methods for fulfillment of our demand, said Mohd. Farooq with great emphasis.
Mohd. Farooq again blamed that government has eastablished te Degree College at Thana Mandi instead of hving been announced for Budhal. This, toappease the petty interest local MLA, is a great Rajouri while Thana Mandi is only 17kms from Rajouri which has a degree college.
Charging the government pf learning the posts of addl. Tehsildar, lady Doctor and posts of lecturers in the Hr. Sec. School, Farooq demanded that these demands be fulfilled with immediate effect.
He further said that Budhal being militancy torn area many of ets people are below poverty line, the govt. should take immediate steps to improve the infrastructure and basic facilities for over all development of this area which will make local residents to face militancy squarely, adding further he said that employment and education formula should be devised keeping in mind econometrics an logistics. Farooq in the end thanked role of Indian Army for playing role of mentor of local youth and wished the operation Sadbhavna to be promoted at all levels.
