| War like ammunition stores recovered, OGW apprehended in Gool | | | Jammu NOV-02-Based on specific information, a column of 23 RR recovered a cache of war like stores in Buzla area while an Over Ground Worker, suspected to have aborted murder of a surrendered terrorist, has been apprehended in Gool area of Udhampur district.
A Defence spokesman that on a specific information 23 RR launched a search operation in Samyal forest 2 Km South of Bulza and recovered a cache of war like stores from a syntax tank buried in ground .The recoveries included two UBGL, nine UBGL grenades, one RPG Sight and 646 rounds of ammunition.
The forces also recovered one .303 rifle from a hollow of a tree in Chirala forest while the encounter with a hiding militant Javed Barkhi in the area is still on since October 30.
In another search operation, 54 Pika ammunition, 12 electronic timer s/w , two electronic detonators, one AK Bayonet, two Binoculars, 86 rounds of UMG Drum Magazine belted and three HHRS Antennas were recovered . The search operation was still in progress when last reports came in .The forces also recovered a cache wrapped in a polythene buried underground in thick under growth at Gadyog 9 Km South West of Samhot.
The spokesman said that a joint column apprehended an OGW from Lancha. Identified as 25 year Barkat Ali son of Ranjha of Lancha is suspected to have aborted murder of Abdul Karim @ Yasin, a surrendered terrorist of HM, who was found dead on October 31 last. The subject is being taken to Police Station Gool for questioning.
