| Azad day celebrations at MANUU | | | Early Times Report
HYDERABAD, Nov 9: Maulana Azad National Urdu University has been celebrating 122nd birth anniversary of legendary freedom fighter and first education minister of India Maulana Abul Kalam Azad from November 8.
The celebrations were inaugurated by Chancellor of MANUU and member planning commission Dr. Syeda Saiyidain Hameed. She delivered a lecture on “Thoughts of Maulana Azad: Present Day Relevance”. Prof. Mohammad Miyan, Vice-Chancellor presided over. “Dastangoi” an old art of storytelling in Urdu was performed by renowned artists Mahmood Farooqui and Danish Husain.
Sham-e-Ghazal, Tamseeli Mushairah, Discussion, Symposiums, Cultural programmes by students were also part of the celebrations.
