| DIC violating govt norms | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, NOV 9: Saviour of Innocent Labour (SOIL), a non governmental organization, today convened a meeting along with the leaders of several organization including, youth NC, Youth Movement to discuss unemployment problems in district Kathua.
The vice president of SOIL. Ram Paul Sharma said that DIC Kathua was violating the government norms to provide 90 per cent employment opportunities to local unemployed youth of the area, with mutual cooperation of several industrial units in Kathua.
In a joint statement, district president of National Conference youth wing Harpreet Singh Sethi and District convener of youth movement, Jarnail Singh and also Bunty Verma and Ajeet said that thousands unemployed educated youth of district Kathua are suffering from the unemployment, but the human resource development branch of DIC was doing no help to accommodate in the private industries while the 90 per cent local employment ratio has been fixed by the government and the industrial management were boldly violating this rule by ignoring local unemployed youth and accommodating the people out of state .
They said inspite of employment in industries the DIC has lot of schemes of unemployed youth but never seen to take serious efforts by DIC to aware the local youth while the DIC must have to organise camps to aware the youth for gelling the benefits of schemes of DIC. They further urged the government to take serious notice on the defuncting of DIC in Kathua and the violation of 90% ratio employment in industries of Kathua. .
