Writers in exile to compile poems on PK | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 9: The writers in exile today decided to compile a series of poems about Panun Kashmir as a resistance movement of Kashmiri Hindus written by a large number of poets in Hindi, Kashmiri, Urdu and English over these years in exile away from their homeland Kashmir. In a meeting of its executive body chaired by noted poet and novelist Dr. Kshama Kaul, members felt the need of compilation of this literature produced by a vast number of creative writers across the country and abroad. This literature played its significant role in recognizing and endorsing the fight spearheaded by Panun Kashmir against terrorism and religious extremism. These Poems about Panun Kashmir will prove as important source material when dispassionate history of contemporary Scio-cultural and political movements of India will be written in future. Members present in the meeting made a fervent appeal to all the concerned poets to co-operate with Writers in Exile so that a voluminous anthology of these poems is published and released in forthcoming All India Writers against Terrorism conference to be convened shortly in 2011 at Jammu.
