| Mahasabha decries J&K govt’s pathetic attitude | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 9: Jammu and Kashmir SC’s, ST’s and OBC Mahasabha has decried apathetic attitude of the state government for not conceding to their long pending demands.
Addressing media persons here today, President Bodh Raj Bhagat and convenor of the Sabha Labha Ram Gandhi said that state government should stop the exploitation of Jammu people and concede their pending demands forthwith. They demanded political reservation, implementation of mandal commission report , political rights for west pak refugees and ownership for allotees of evacuee Property, scholarship for students under SC, ST and OBC Categories and proper implementation of centrally sponsored schemes.
They however informed that Sabha members have decided and passed resolution to contest the election at the level of Panchayat, Assembly, Parliament including local body and corporations in Jammu and Kashmir. Bhagat urged state government to redress demands of mahasabha including West Pak Refugees in the State who are badly suffering for want of the political rights. Among others who were present on the occasion included Gurbachan Singh, Ashok Pandey, Khadam Hussain, Ashok Badyal, Sham Sotra, Saroop Gularia and others.
