Sunail villagers against installing of stone crusher HC orders status as exits | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, November-09 (JNF):- In a petition filed by in habitants of village Sunail Tehsil Akhnoor against thr installation of stone crusher in the village, Justice Sunil Hali of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Adv Adarsh Sharma appearing for the petitioners issued notice to J&K State Pollution Control Board through its Chairman, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Tehsildar Akhnoor, SHO P/S Akhnoor, the notice waived by AAG AH Qazi and AAG Jagdish Parihar. Court further directed to file objections with in two weeks and also ordered that till next date of hearing status-quo as exits shall be maintained. In the petition, it has been submitted that private respondents Ankush Gupta and Romesh Singh after purchasing the Sham Lat Deh Land illegally, are in process of installing stone-crusher in village Sunail. Since the land belonged to the entire village, the petitioners immediately approached all the concerned authorities for seeking the redressal of their grievances but could not get any justice and then filed petition in the State High Court in which an interim order October 13 was passed and the same was served upon the concerned respondents that instead of honouring the High Court order, the private respondents have started the construction work for establishing the stone-crusher. Upon this High Court ordered the status-quo as exists shall be maintained.
