| Inter-college TT competitions get underway | | MAM register 3-1 win over Law School | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, November 10: Government MAM College today made a winning start making it a 3-1 win over Law School of the University of Jammu (JU) in the inter-college men’s table competitions started at Gymnasium Hall on the campus here. Earlier, MAM started well with Tariq Hussain winning his singles, but only to lose the second when Karan Khosa defeated Gurneet Singh in straight sets. Later, Tariq won his reverse singles also to guide MAM to a 3-1 win. The Results: MAM bt Law School 3-1: Tariq Hussain bt Waheed 0-2 (11-4, 11-4); Gurneet Singh lost to Karan Khosa 2-0 (4-11, 7-11); Lobzory bt Abhik 2-0 (11-7, 11-9); Tariq Hussain bt Karan Khosa 2-1 (11-9, 9-11, 11-7). In another scheduled match, Mahant Bachiter Singh College of Engineering got walkover GGM Science College (morning). Dogra Law College also got walkover Sant Rocha Singh College.
Walkovers mark women’s TT
Meanwhile, walkovers mark the opening day of inter-college women’s table tennis competitions. While Government College for Women (GCW) got walkover Government SPMR College of Commerce, PG Departments awarded walkover against Government Degree College Udhampur. Government College for Women Udhampur also got walkover Dental Institute Sehora. Earlier, the competitions were inaugurated by Director Sports and Physical Education, JU, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau. Today’s competitions were officiated by Ravish Vaid and Vikrant Singh.
