HC directs police to produce petitioner with mother | Inter-community marriage | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, November-10 (JNF):- In the much publicized inter-community marriage case, Justice JP Singh today directed SHO P/S Pacca Danga Jammu to produce Priyanka Pandoh and her mother in the Court on November 11, 2006. Priyanka Pandoh alias Shaheen Khan and Mohd Aslam Khan had moved this petition in the Court seeking protection of their right of personal liberty, besides a direction against the respondents not to interfere into their married life. The court after hearing Advocate Pranav Kohli assisted by Hency Maini for the petitioners whereas Additional Advocate General Gagan Basotra for the state respondents observed that during the course of the consideration of the petition, it becomes necessary to record the statements of Inspector Vishal Sharma, Investigating Officer and Sub-Inspector Abid Hussain, who had appeared in the Court expressing their inability to produce Priyanka in the court as directed, because she was not available at her residence. Inspector Vishal Sharma, however, stated that he would ensure that petitioner Priyanka and her mother appear in the Court. Court further observed that to consider the petitioner’s request for passing appropriate orders, SHO P/S Pacca Danga Jammu Mr. Vishal Sharma directed to produce Priyanka and her mother in the Court on November 11, 2010.
