| JK Band to open 30 new branches | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, NOV 10: Jammu & Kashmir Bank is going to open 30 new branches in Rajouri Poonch and Reasi districts of the state within one year besides the Bank have planned to make recruitments on the local level in these Banks.
Source said that J&K Bank is going to open atleast 30 branches in three districts viz Rajouri Poonch and Reasi in near future and the work on opening of these branches is going to be initiated as soon as the Bank completed recruitment of the officials. Sources said that Bank has also planned to recruit local unemployed youth in these branches which will play a vital role in curtaining unemployment of these districts.
During an informal chat with the Vice President of the J&K Bank for Poonch Rajouri and Reasi region Javed Mustafa Rafiaqui said that the Bank will commence the process of opening of these branches within a year.
“We have got 30 new braches approved”, Vice President said adding that this will be a major development in these areas and it will provide an opportunity for the youth to get jobs in the Bank. When asked about the recruitment of officials, he said that they will try to recruit all local youths of Rajouri Poonch and Reasi to operate these branches so that Bank and officials are benefited symbiotically.
About the poor service of ATM in Rajouri Poonch, Vice President said that they are going to improve the service. He said that the Bank is going to open one ATM at Thanamandi and another in the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University where the students community are demanding for the same. “We will open these ATM within no time”, he said adding that he had also started ATM facility in Mendher area.
