| Moorti sthapan Function held at Abdulian | | Chib for strengthening bonds of brotherhood, amity | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, November 10: Stressing on strengthening the bonds of brotherhood among various sections of the society, Minister for Youth Services and Sports and Medical Education, R.S Chib said that every citizen should emphasize on patriotism and making secular fabric of the state strong.
He said this after 'Moorti Sthapan function held at village Abdulian near zero line in R. S. Pura today.
Sub Divisional Magistrate, R. S. Pura, Mahant of Shri Laxmi Narayan Pran Mandir, Abdulian, Karan Bhagat, members of the Management Committee Dr. Prem Nath Dogra and Balbir Singh besides prominent religious leaders were present on this occasion.
Earlier, the Minister accompanied by senior officers of Youth Services and Sports Department flagged off a rally of 1200 sports persons of 28 teams from all over India, who have arrived in the State to participate in 22nd Sub Junior National Kabbadi Championship, from M.A.M Stadium.
Addressing the sports persons, Chib said that Government has taken a mega project of renovating sports infrastructures in all the three regions of the State. With the financial support of central government crores of rupees are being spent on renovating Indoor Stadiums at Srinagar and Jammu. He said that construction work on Ice Hockey Rink at Leh is nearing its completion where international sports events will be organized shortly to boost sports section of the state.
