| Retired SRTC employees hold protest | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 10: All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retirement Employees Association Jammu (VRS) held a protest at SRTC Office Rail Head Complex demanding one time settlement of the dues of employees.
The demonstration was held under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali, president of the association against the alleged adamant behaviour of state government and department concerned towards the demands of the employees. They also threatened to intensify protest in support of the demands and delay tactics of the government.
Dev Raj Bali said, “We have taken the VRS vide J&K SRTC order No.150/JKSRTC/MD of 2010 dated 22.1.2010 under the Govt. Golden Handshake / Volunteer Retirement Scheme vide notification Govt, order No.218-F of 2007 dated 16.07.2007 and in this order it was assured by the J&K SRTC that one who took the VRS his dues would be settled in one time.”
“It was promised by the management that the settlement of payment would be made within two months but it was unfortunate that after lapse of three months, they had not been paid their dues”, he alleged.
