SAD demands high level inquiry
11/10/2010 9:30:22 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 10: Expressing serious concern over incident of alleged threat to minority community in Hutmarah, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Wednesday demanded high level inquiry into it.
Talking to the media persons here, national vice president SAD, J S Mangal termed it an “unfortunate incident” in which some unidentified men reportedly dressed in army uniform allegedly harassed sikh community members.
He said the incident was aimed to create wedge within the two communities living in harmony in valley since the centuries and thus an inquiry needs to be instigated to book the guilty.
He, however, welcomed US President’s concerns for Kashmir, saying it becomes relevant to resolve the issue for peace and development in entire South Asia. He also resented the frequent arresting and release of Hurriyat leaders in Valley.
Those who were present in the press conference included Harmohinder Singh, State president, Ranjit Singh, vice president, Ram Singh, general secretary and others.
