| Corruption charges against former officials of f JK Minerals Ltd | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, November-11 (JNF):- Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption Jammu DC Sagotra framed corruption charges against Rajinder Kumar Kharoo then FA/CAO J&k Minerals Limited Jammu.
According to the charges that then FA/CAO of J&K Mineral Limited during his posting as such fraudulently and dishonestly manipulated the cash-book and ledger books of regional office of J&k Minerals Limited Jammu and misappropriated an amount of Rs 8 lacs under a conspired plan to embezzle public funds, obtained advances from accused Jagdev Kumar then cashier J&K Mineral Ltd Jammu directly or through other officials posted in the Regional Office JKML Jammu. Being a CAO he was duty bound to ensure to look cash-book and ledger book maintained properly. The said officer who was duty bound to affix counter signature on cash book and ledger books in token of having examined and scrutinized the daily transaction reflected in the cash book and ledger books. Court while framing charges u/s 5(1) (c) r/w 5(2) of J&K PC Act and sections 467/468/471 and 120-B RPC said that RK Kharoo knowingly and dishonestly omitted to do so in this way, he prima-facie committed offences mentioned above and framed charges against him.
Court after hearing Senior Prosecuting Officer Rohit Gupta appearing for VOJ also framed corruption charges against Jagdev Kumar then cashier J&K Mineral Limited.
