BJP charges Omar against dismissing ground realities | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 11:
Bhartiya Janta Party state spokesperson Nirmal Kamal has accused the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for not understanding the ground realities of the state from both the points of view of historical and constitutional aspects. In a press statement issued here today, Nirmal Kamal said, “The repeated utterances by him on the issue of accession of the state with India and adamant attitude by saying that ‘I stand by my statement on accession’ and also ‘I have neither any regrets over the remarks nor I'm going to retract from them’, speak volumes about not only his ignorance on the subject and also his overconfident attitude”. ‘Though he has been advised by his coalition partner's chief of the ruling government to go through the pages of ‘Aatish-e-Chinar’ written by his grandfather, he should also take time out to see the constitution of the J&K state’, she added. State BJP demanded that Omar Abdullah should take back his statement or apologize for his repeated utterance failing which the state people may pressurize him to step down from the chair. ‘Time is ripe before more damage is done and the Centre government should take cognizance of the matter with serious and sincere approach”, she maintained.
