| ALSJAC demand CU for Ladakh | | |

JAMMU, Nov 11:
All Ladakh Students Joint Action Committee (ALSJAC) reiterated its demand to establish a Central University in Ladakh region.
Addressing media persons here today, the ALSJAC members said that students of Ladakh have to migrate to the other region of country for their academic pursuance.
At a time there are around 20000 students putting up in other regions pursuing their studies.
The Ladakhi students have to face numerous problems in terms of psychological, financial and cultural.
Besides the Trans Himalayan region, the Ladakh due to its topographical factors and other harsh climatic conditions remains cut of other parts of state and country which is why this region needs special attention.
There are vibrant scope for research field in Ladakh for example exploration of mineral are like Uranium, Phosphates etc but all it needs is attention, exploration and establishing special research fields and for that it need a University, the Ladakhi students said
