| Natrang’s Ghumayee staged in Horizon Series- 2010 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Delhi Nov 12: Natrang’s Dogri play Ghumayee written and directed by Balwant Thakur was presented at Azad Bhawan, New Delhi under the ‘Horizon series 2010’ of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The ICCR is an autonomous body of MEA which looks-after the exchange of Indian culture with rest of the world and vice-versa.
All lead actors of Natrang including the music composer and lyricists Suraj Singh and Brij Mohan arrived in the capital here yesterday with Director Balwant Thakur to present this play with the help of Internationally acclaimed light and stage designers. Ashok Bhagat of National School of Drama and Suraj Ganjoo designed the professional lighting of the play.
The cast of the play included Vikrant Sharma, Suresh Kumar, Neeraj Kant, Tajasvi Sharma, Renu Sharma, Sajra Qadir, Dimple Sharma, Mohit Sharma, Rahul Singh, Pankush Verma, Rohit Verma, Ishfaq Anwar, Kuldeep Mehra, Vikram Sharma Gauri Thakur and the little Sohi Sharma. Aarushi Thakur coordinated the performance and Ranbeer Thakur assisted her. Suraj Ganjoo designed and executed the lights and sound was handled by Mohd Yaseen
