| Motivation tour for students flagged off | | | EARLY TIME REPORT
Jammu, 12 November 12:Keeping up with this tradition, ‘Bawan Brigade’ under the aegis of Crossed Swords division, Maj Gen Rakesh Sharma, General Officer Commanding today flagged off motivational tour for students of Akhnoor Tehsil to Delhi and Western India. The group comprised of 23 students and 2 teachers from Government schools of Gharota, Sunail and Gurha Talab.
During the tour, the students will be taken to historical places such as Lotus Temple, Qutab Minar, India Gate, Red Fort Delhi Zoo and Nehru Planetarium. The students will also be exposed to cultural, religious and technological centres at Agra, Ajmer, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner and Amritsar, besides getting an opportunity to meet President Pratibha Patil in Delhi, and the Maharaja of Jaipur during the stay at Jaipur.
Speaking to the children, the GOC expressed his appreciation on the overwhelming response from the students and their parents and exhorted them to inculcate ideals of national integration and patriotism.
