| MIET organizes Alumni Meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 13: Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) organized an Alumni Meet at its Kot Bhalwal campus today.
Over 50 passed out students of MIET attended the event, which was organized by the Alumni Committee of the Institute under the convener ship of Prof. Brig P N Sharma. Since the first batch passed out in 2003, over 500 students of MIET have been placed in the reputed organizations, both nationally and internationally and are making an excellent contribution towards nation building.
MIET alumni are currently working in organizations such as Hewlett-Packard, IBM, EMC, TCS, Infosys, Satyam, Dell Labs,. KPIT Cummins, Wipro, HSBC, ICICI, HDFC, Punj LIoyd, Maytas, HCL, BHEL, U-Flex, Maruti Udhyog, M&M, Bank of America, Tata Indicom, Airtel, Vodafone, Indain Army, Navy, Air Force, education sector and many more besides contributing to growth of their alma-mater MIET.
Chairman, MIER group of institutions, Arun K. Gupta , expressed satisfaction at the conduct of the alumni meet.
Having observed the best engineering talent at the national level, he felt that MIET students have in them to compete with the best and emerge successful.
He hoped that the MIET Alumni shall continue to play a constructive role in guiding the current students and pave the way for the success of future batches of MIET students.
He described the alumni as the most important asset of any institution and looked forward to the day when MIET alumni would contribute to its development in the same way as the alumni of world-class institutions do.
Director MIER Group of Institutions, Dr Renu Gupta, who has been the motivating source behind the successful conduct of event, asked the Alumni to come forward in upbringing of the Institute and guide the way for placement of MIET graduates in top companies.
