Harsh conferred with “Best citizen of India Award” | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 13: International Publishing House conferred Harsh Dev Singh NPP MLA from Ramnagar with “Best citizen of India Award” for his outstanding achievements and contributions in public life. Harsh Dev Singh who has been thrice elected MLA from Ramnagar and has served the state in the capacity of a Minister for Education was selected for the Award on the “basis of information gathered by the committee of the International Publishing House through their extensive research which they make to identify the progressive pattern of dynamic men and women” The Award was conferred on Singh for his meaningful contribution towards strengthening parliamentary system, for his profound sensitivity and courage of conviction and for his ceaseless endeavours to invest politics for noble and lofty principles. The recipients of the “Best citizen of India award” in the past include Bhishma Narain Singh ex-Governor, former CBI Director Joginder Singh, GVG Krishna Murthy, former Election Commissioner, Air Chief Marshall N.C. Suri, Sumitra Singh Speaker of Rajasthan, Raghubir Kadian Speaker Haryana, Naresh Trehan Chief cardiovascular surgeon besides other notable personalities. It is pertinent to mention that Harsh Dev Singh has earlier been acknowledged as the best Legislator of the state and has earlier been conferred with Gold Medal for his spectacular performance and unique contributions in public life.
