Adopt tough stand against terrorists: RSS
11/3/2006 9:22:22 PM
Jammu, November 3: Targeting soft policy of UPA government at the centre, former RSS spokesman and senior leader Ram Madhav said here on Friday that it is time for UPA government to adopt tough stand against those undermining the integrity and sovereignty of our Country.

Addressing a gathering of media persons here at Tourist Reception centre in connection with the centenary year celebrations of sangh sarsangchalak Guruji, RSS leader also trained his guns on Jammu and kashmir Chief Minister GhulamNabi Azad for his relentless campaign in support of earning clemency for Parliament attack connvict Mohd Afzal Guru.

He said, it is very unfortunate on the part of Chief Minister to rally around those forces supporting clemency for Mohd Afzal Guru.It is not his job, let law take its own course.

Cautioning UPA government at the centre for adopting soft stand against the perpetrators of most condemnable crime against Indian nation ,Ram Madhav warned that any decision taken by the union cabinet in the form of recommendations to the President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on the clemency plea of Mohd Afzal Guru would reflect on their part and would be treated as their non-committment towards tackling terrorism in India.

He also advocated the need to adopt stringent laws in order to effectively deal with the terrosists.
Commenting on the PDP demand for self-rule and visit of PDP patronMufti Mohd Sayeed to United Nations General Assembly, RSS leader said it goes against the spirit of Indian democracy. When we are against abrogation of Article 370 how can we support self-rule.He said, successive centre governments have allowed visit of Kashmiri leaders and delegations at International platforms but the same has backfired.
Lashing out at the UPA government for propagating minoritism in all spheres and playing vote bank politics, RamMadhav said whenever it is election time UPA leaders start parroting slogans to woo minorities. I want to appeal to all Nationals not to fall prey to such politics of minoritism and stand united to fight evil of terror .He also targeted UnionHRD Minister Arjun Singh for targetting RSS run Saraswati Shishu Mandir and said he has failed to take action against madarassas spreading hatred and propagating terrorism in the society.
"Learn few lessons from President Pervez Musharraf he is targeting Madarrasas with rocket launchers to teach them a bitter lesson. But in our country our HRD minister is not doing enough to check spread of such madarassa despite adverse reports by Intelligence bureau".He said, i am saying that India should also use force to elimate such centres but spread of such centres should be checked .He said there is greater need to introspect as to how we as a Nation want to deal with terrorism.Responding to question s of the meda men whether NDA governmetn also adopted soft appraoch towards terrorism he said, during NDA regime instruments such as POTA was there to deal with the terrorists but present UPA government has none of it. He said, UPA government is busy playing vote bank politics and can go to any extreme to appease minorities inthe country. The session was attended by state RSS Chief KL Bhatia,Brig SuchetSingh and RC Gupta Chief of Trikuta Samwad Kendra.
