| Snow-hit bakerwals get relief cheques | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU NOV 13: Provincial president, J&K National conference Rattan Lal Gupta distributed cheques among the Bakerwal community members whose sheep and goats and other livestock were perished in a heavy snowfall in the upper reaches of Peer Panjal range .
While distributing the cheques, he said that government had constituted a committee to assess the losses and on the basis of this report the relief or compensation would be sanctioned to these poor people.
