| Semis line-up drawn in men’s TT | | Inter-college table tennis competitions of JU | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 13: Semi-finals position has been cleared in men’s section in the ongoing inter-college table tennis competitions under the banner of Department of Sports and Physical Education at Gymnasium Hall of the University of Jammu (JU), here today.
Teams reaching the last four stages are Government SPMR College of Commerce, PG Departments, Government Degree College Poonch and Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS).
Both Poonch College and ASCOMS qualified for the semi-finals getting walkovers. While Poonch awarded walkover Government Degree College Rajouri, ASCOMS got walkover Government MAM College (Evening).
In other matches, Commerce College defeated Dogra Law College 3-1. Results: Kashish bt Ranjit 11-4, 11-4; Tushar bt Amulya 11-6, 11-9; Suhail lost to Atul 9-11, 11-8, 7-11; (reverse singles) Tushar bt Ranjit 11-01, 11-06.
PG Departments trounced MBS College Engineering 3-2. Results: Sandeep bt Inderpal Singh 11-5, 11-5; Vikram lost to Gurvinder 7-11, 7-11; Udhay bt Varinder Pal Singh 11-7, 11-7. Reverse singles: Sandeep lost to Gurvinder 7-11, 7-11; Vikram bt Inderpal Singh 9-11, 11-6, 11-8.
