| Jammu United wins 2-1 in Sr Division | | Jammu Division Senior, Junior Football League | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 13: Jammu United registered a 2-1 win over Young Rovers in Senior Division in the ongoing Jammu Division Senior and Junior League Tournament, organised by Jammu wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at twin venues of GGM Science College and Mini Stadium, Parade, here today.
In the senior division match played at Science College ground, though Young Rovers took the first lead netting the ball in the 17th minute through Rakesh still they lost the game.
The lead was equalized by Jammu United with Anil Kumar scoring in the 30th minute. Leveled at 1-1 in the first half, Jammu United scored their second goal in the 60th minute through Shashi to emerge winner. The match was officiated by Ketan Kumar, Ricky and Kaka.
Meanwhile, in Junior Division, underway at Mini Stadium Parade, here Young Churchill and Christian Star won their respective ties while Alexandra held Manjit Singh Club to a 1-1 draw.
In the drawn game, Paramjit Singh scored for Manjit Singh Club in the 20th minute. The lead was equalized by Alexander through Richi Singh in the 47th minute.
Earlier, Young Churchill defeated Real Jammu 2-0. Ishan and Omar netted one goal each in 5th and 24th minute respectively. In another match of the day, Christian Star blanked Young Christian 4-0. Sachin Gill (8th), Sunil Sandhu (15th) and Sonu (18th and 55th) were scorers. Matches were officiated by Vivian, Anoosh Gill, Rajesh, V K Sandhu and Sahil.
“In all, 12 teams are taking part in Senior Division whereas 27 club are there in Junior Division league,” resident secretary of JKFA Jammu wing, Surinder Singh Bunty told SAN.

Senior Division (Science College): Vijay Club V/s NGR Club at 1 pm; Mussa Club V/s New Bharat at 2.30 pm; Engineers XI V/s International Club at 4 pm.
Junior Division (Mini Stadium Parade): Young Warriors V/s Bhagat Singh Club at 1 pm; Vijay Hero V/s Young Churchill at 2.30 pm; Young Sports V/s Alexandar Club at 4 pm.
