| Two held with charas | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 13: Two Kashmir-based narcotic smugglers were today arrested by police at Batote along with nearly 650 grams of charas.They were identified as Manzoor Ahmad, son of Inayatullah Khan of Batpora, Kupwara, and Gulam Mohammad, son of Abdul Rehman Wad of Ganipura, Kupwara.
Police sources said cops intercepted a Maruti car (JKD/2940) at Batote during routine checking of vehicles on the national highway.Checking of the car led police to the recovery of about 650 gm charas, the sources added, saying the contraband was concealed in the speaker of the car stereo.The charas and the car were then seized and the accused arrested. A case under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPSA) was registered against them. |
